Kelsey Trainor focuses her practice in sports and entertainment. She has served as a Sports, Marketing, Entertainment and Legal executive.  Kelsey started in the entertainment industry working for the hit CBS television series Blue Bloods starring Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck, working in production and development for the series’ directing producer.  She served as in-house counsel for Dan Abrams’ media company where she oversaw legal and business affairs for numerous websites, podcast networks, tv/film productions and development, book publishing, and a live 24/7 news network.

Kelsey’s background in production and media has garnered international attention for her views on entertainment and sports law topics. As a former college athlete, coach, and longtime women’s sports advocate, Kelsey has built out a successful “Invest in women. Pay women. Hire women” brand and merchandise initiative, worn by prominent advocates including Dawn Staley, Sarah Spain, Grant Williams, Jay Bilas, Sue Bird and CJ McCollum. She has spoken at numerous colleges and universities including Harvard Law, Howard University, University of Maine, New York University, Villanova University, and Drexel University, Kelsey has appeared on numerous television and radio programs discussing women’s sports and the law.

Most recently, Kelsey started and ran Rob McElhenney’s (Welcome to Wrexham, Always Sunny in Philadelphia) More Better Industries, across production, advisory, and venture. She led a groundbreaking sponsorship for Wrexham Women’s (owned by McElhenney and actor Ryan Reynolds) semi pro team to play 3 matches in the United States, including marketing content and integration with the brand into the 8 time Emmy Award winning series.

Kelsey previously served as an Associate and Of Counsel in private practice for a firm that specializes in insurance insolvency, rehabilitation, and complex civil litigation. In addition to her multi-year experience in private practice, Kelsey served two years as Judicial Law Clerk in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, Civil Division and, while in law school, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, Criminal Division. She currently advises numerous companies in sports, media, and entertainment.
